Warranty and Safety Info

WARRANTY

Seller warranties, for two years, that Burlington Medical Supplies, Inc. manufactured products will be free from material and workmanship defects. Seller's obligation is limited exclusively to the repair or replacement of the defective product. This warranty does not cover damage as a result of normal wear, abuse, abrasion, or failure to follow care and use instructions. Seller hereby disclaims all other warranties, either expressed or implied. There are no warranties which extend beyond the time frame stated. Custom aprons, table pads, barriers, grids, prescription glasses and other customized accessories are sold on a non-cancelable, non-returnable basis. Seller reserves the right to refuse to issue credit on any returned merchandise. All returned merchandise must be in resalable condition. Requests to return merchandise must be made within 30 days of invoice/shipment and may be subject to a restocking charge. We do NOT accept packages that are sent C.O.D.

INSPECTION

Inspect products upon receipt to ensure protective material is free of defects. Notification of defects is required within 14 days. Annual inspections are recommended; tears and holes located within 8 inches of the vertical center line are critical and should be evaluated by the Health Physicist department for acceptability. Products with tears or holes that exceed your facility's acceptance criteria should be removed from service. Buckles, Velcro, and straps position the products for proper coverage. Broken or damaged features that prohibit the correct positioning of the product should be repaired, or the apron removed from service.

SAFETY INFORMATION

BMS products do not provide complete user protection. They attenuate X-ray energy to levels expressed in millimeters of lead equivalency. Risk and limits of use must be determined by the Radiation Safety Officer (or corresponding authority) at each user's facility. Protection levels for each product are typically 0.25mm, 0.35mm, or 0.50mm (+/- 5%) lead equivalency. Each product is provided with permanent labels stating the protection level of the product. Protection levels are determined by testing in accordance with ASTM Standard F-2547-06 and/or IEC 61331-1:1994.
